Primary Prevention
Preventing disease BEFPRE it happens (immunizations)
Secondary Prevention
There is disease but the patient is showing no symptoms (screening tests-mammograms,etc)
Tertiary Prevention
Aware of the disease, but trying to prevent it from causing other problems (diabetes causing MI)
