One of the most important inputs to controller is the
Destination airport elevation- it receives this info when landing elevation selector is set to auto.
To set the landing field elevation manually?
When would you do this?
Pull the landing elec auto button out and select elevation.
Both FMGC fail or
Airport of landing is not in data base
Outflow valve is located
Right side aft fuselage
Status of valve is displayed on cab press page.
Safety valves are located
Aft right side above flotation line.
There is one SAFETY icon on CAB PRESS page that represents both safety valves
If indication is Amber there is a problem.
Ditching push button closes all fuselage opening below the flotation line.

Aircraft with cargo heat would close
If operating manually the outflow valve we need to be closed manually.
Cabin begins to pressurize when?
Before rotation.
