ECB (electronic control box)

What does the ECB do?
Start and shutdown sequencing
APU N speed and EGT monitoring
Bleed air output monitoring g
Fault monitoring and reporting
It will vary N speed based on Electrical and Bleed demands
Do you have to wait for air intake flap to open before selecting pb START
No- the APU computer won’t let it start until the flap is all the way open
How do you know if the flap intake valve fails to close?
FLAP OPEN message on ECAM flashes
APU has independent oil system if you get the LOW OIL LEVEL displayed
Low oil Pressure displayed what happens
Low oil quantity will not cause a shit down of APU
