  • For treatment of addiction e.g. buprenorphine, diazepa,, methadone
  • Home office licence required for cocaine, diamorphine, dipipanone
  • Must specify amount of medicine per instalment
  • Must state interval between instalment
  • Specificy separately on Rx
  • 1st instalment to be dispensed within 28 days

A

  • Healthcare professional must say name and address of HCP and give proof of identity
  • If rep collecting for a drug misuse patient they must have a letter from patient giving consent with their name each time they come to collect and must show ID. Their details must be entered in CD register
