• Prevents misuse of drug and harm to environment
• Minimises patient safety issues

Method 1:

• grind and crush
• use small amount of water
• pour onto CD kit

Method 2:

• grind and crush
• Add small amount of water, soapy water and mix until dissolved

• pour into appropriate size CD kit
• put kit in waste bin for incineration

Method 2:
Pour onto appropriate amount cat litter

• get rid of glass in sharp bin

Powder:
- add water and pour into kit

Alternative method:
- crush with pestle in empty plastic container and add water/cat litter
