Influenced by things like behaviours, physical environment, social connection, biomedical factors, cultural background etc.

The ability for people to access, understand and apply info about health to make decisions

The wellness of the body and the absence of chronic pain or discomfort
What is Social Health (DOH)?
The ability to interact with others in a cooperative and interdependent way

Having a sense of purpose and meaning in life
Feeling connected with others + society
What is mental health (DOH)?
The ability to realise our abilities to cope with the normal stress of life, work productively and make contributions to the community

What is Life Expectancy?
How long a person or group of people are expected to live (Usually measured at birth)
What is Mortality?
The death rate in a given area or a time period
What is Morbidity?
The rate of illness or disease
What is the Incidence?
The occurrence/rate/frequency of a disease in a PERIOD OF TIME
What is Prevalence?
The rate of disease/issues in a POINT in time
It is able to tell us the changes in health and the impact of it

What are protective factors?
Actions or habits that individuals do to keep them from risky, unwanted and harmful activities which can leave a negative impact on their health

When individuals do things that harm are not meeting the recommended health levels like participating in unhealthy rituals and avoiding necessary tasks.
