What’s the aim for BP

Haemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelets
What is first line tx for pre-eclampsia
Labetalol
Issues with Labetalol
Can’t be used in asthmatics
What is defined as chronic hypertension
High bp before 20 weeks gestation longstanding and existing, not caused by placental dysfunction
What is gestational hypertension
high BP post 20 weeks, no proteinuria
Signs of pre-eclampsia
High bP 140/90, proteinruia (+1), maybe oedema
