upper class = involved law and order with advanced sophisticated rules due to being literate

lower class = worked long 12+ hours on the land having little free time and energy (therefore participated in holidays)
upper class = had lot’s of free time to participate
How did transport affect lower and upper class sport?
lower class = have no transport staying local leading to easy access
upper class = owned horse and carriages travelling between villages/ towns to play real tennis (however road conditions were poor)
