Q

BOS = base of support (2)

A

distance from outside of L foot -> outside of R foot,

Q

COG/ COM
where it is
how does this relate to: postural stability and BOS?

A

point on body where mass is concentrated around.
anterior S1
lowering COG => increase postural stability
if this goes outside BOS we lost stability

Q

gravity and posture

action lines and magnitude

A

action line - drop a line in front of or behind joint to represents work of gravity = moving COG in front or behind joint
magnitude - how close it is to joint
close to joint = less magnitude (because of torque)

Q
where is action line in AO joint?
where is the action line in C-spine?
where is action line in thoracic spine?
where is action line in lumbar spine?
where is action line in SI joint?
A
AO joint in front
c-spine: behind, so it creates extension moment
 C5 = apex (most posterior convexity)
t-spine = front => flexion
 T8 = apex
lumbar spine= back => extension
 L3 = apex
SI joint = front (nutation)
