Signs and symptoms

A
  • Sudden weight loss, even when your appetite and food you eat remains the same/increases
  • rapid heartbeat/irregular heartbeat/palpitations
  • increased appetite
  • nervousness, anxiety and irritability
  • tremor - usually a fine trembling in hands and fingers
  • sweating
  • changes in menstrual patterns
  • increased sensitivity to heat
  • changes in bowl patterns
  • enlarged thyroid/goiter
  • fatigue/muscle weakness
  • difficulty sleeping
  • skin thinning
  • fine, bittle hair
  • Graves disease: protruding eyes, red or swollen eyes, excessive tearing/discomfort in one or btoh eyes, light sensitivity, blurry or double vision, inflammation or reduced eye movement
