- No contraception
- Religion/cultural reasons

- Cramped and crowded living conditions
- No access to basic sanitation, like toilets, good water etc

- Affordable forms of contraception have been introduced and advertised, to lessen the stigma
- Government have launched a child health care to combat people having many children (people have loads of children in case of their death), trying to reduce infant mortality rates

- Not enough land bc getting overcrowded
- Rapid Deforestation for firewood, all forest in Gambia may disappear in 50 years if they continue at this rate
why is there pressure on the government and schools?
- Towns are expanding rapidly and the government doesn’t have enough money to spend of infrastructure, such as roads
- More children than the school/facilities can handle, schools are under-pressure and have a 2 shift system. (day and night)
