People don’t reach old age.
Population is mostly young people

No use of contraception.
What is stage 2s economy based on?
Agricultural.
People have lots of children to work on farms.
What does the death rate do in stage 2?
Death rate falls due to improved healthcare.
What is the population growth like in stage 2?
Very high.
What is population structure like in stage 2?
Life expectancy has increased.
Still more younger people, than older people.
What is the birth rate like in stage 3?
Birth rate rapidly falls.
Why does the birth rate fall in stage 3?
Emancipation of women (Equal place in society).
Better education.
Use of contraception increases.
More women work instead of having babies.
