Q

In 1938, Britain, France, and Italy agreed to allow Hitler to take over parts of Czechoslovakia which contained ethnic Germans. Why did this upset the Soviet Union?

A

They were enemies with Nazi Germany and Czechoslovakia was close to the borders of the Soviet Union, but Stalin was not even asked for his opinion. He was convinced that the west has no interests in a friendly relationship with him and believed they would be happy if his country was attacked by Germany and the communist system destroyed.
