- advice on resuming normal activity
- Pain education, options for pain management
Aims of chronic pain management
- focus on management of symptom control rather than cure
- Promote coping strategies- relaxing, flare up management
- Improve physical function and return to activity, including work = functional exercises

Mechanical behaviour, rest often relieves, some movements aggregate

Non-mechanical pain , pain from all movements and directions, mechanical treatments fail
