Physics field work Flashcards
why was stratford a suitable place for physical fieldwork
Close proximity to the school
Able to go there and come back in the same day
Everything available in stratford-3 different sites that show the positive and negative impacts of regeneration
Can collect a lot of data in a short period of time
How do you make ur data as reliable and accurate as possible
Different range of sampling strategies
Go to different places with a few metres apart -systematic measure- do this for each site
Get more data
What is a type of sampling strategy
Random sample-collect data at random parts of an area
Systematic sample-Interveiw somebody ever 2 people you see to consistently collect data
Stratified- Look at groups of people- -interview females only-
What do u do at each site
Draw and annotate a sketch of the area
Why do you bother doing a field sketch
Because photos dokt allow you to annotate it but sketches do
Also annotation gives you a good “flavour” for what life is like in stratford

What is a downside to environmental survey
