A

the amount of time per day spent
- sitting
- laying down (EXCEPT sleeping)
- engaged in non-active activities (e.g. watching TV, driving a vehicle, working at a compluter, reading…)

What are Metabolic Equivalent (METs) used for?

A

its used to measure the level of intensity of physical activity.

eg. 1 MET is the energy expended at rest so 4 METs would be an activity rhat requires 4x the amount of energy at rest.
