Sedentary Behaviour
behaviour associated with sitting or laying
Metabolic Equivalent (METs)
way to measure energy expended during physical activity
(The more intense the physical activity, the higher the METs expenditure.)
Enablers
something or someone who makes it possible for a person to be active
Barriers
is something that prevents a person from being active
Weight management
is the ability to maintain a balance between energy intake and energy expenditure, resulting in a stable body weight.
Type 2 Diabetes
high levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood.
Obesity
excess fat is carried by an individual, generally due to too high an energy intake and not enough energy expenditure.
Hypertension
high blood pressure
Socioeconomic status (SES)
refers to a person’s social and economic standing- education, employment, income ($$)

the efficient functioning of the body, free from disease and illness.
Mental health
is the capacity of the brain to function well.
Emotional health
is the capacity to appropriately display and control one’s emotions
Social health
is the ability to get on well and interact with others.
Subjective assessment
information obtained from a person’s belief in how they performed

information obtained via data.
