What’s the Formula of work done ?
work done (J) = force (N) × distance moved in the direction of the force (m)
Kinetic Energy
- The quantity of kinetic energy in a moving object depends on how fast it is travelling (the velocity) and on the mass of the object
K.E = 1/2 x M x V^2
M = 2 E / V ^2
V = √2E/m
K.E = kinetic Energy , M = Mass ( kg) , V = Velocity ( m/s^2
what’s the formula of Gravitational Potential Energy
G.P.E. (J) = mass (kg) × acceleration of gravity (m/s2) × change in height (m)
G.P.E. = G.P.E. = mg∆h
The quantity of gravitational potential energy (G.P.E.) depends on several factors:
the gravitational field strength, g (as it involves lifting objects upwards against gravity)
the change in height, ∆h (this will affect how much energy is stored)
What’s the formula to calculate power
- Power is defined as the energy transferred per unit of time.
P = △E/T
