How do you show a phrase mark?
A
It is marked by a long arch ( mark) above the music. It starts at the beginning and ends at the end of the phrase.

What is a slur?
A
In vocal music I slow shows notes song to the same syllable.
In String music it shows notes played with the same bow stroke.
In other music in means the notes are played without a gap in sound between them.

A tie joins two notes of the same pitch completely together.
