What symptoms/signs could we recognise to diagnose pharyngitis?

A

Diagnosing Bacterial Infection:

  • Tonsilar exudate
  • Tender lymph nodes
  • Absence of cough
  • Fever

Diagnosis of Streptococcal infection:
Above symptoms+ flushed face, strawberry tongue.

Diagnosis of Glandular fever:

  • Recurrent sore throat
  • fever
  • lymphadenopathy
