staph saprophyticus (young, sex active woman) –> staph (nitrofurantoin)
enterococcus faecalis (hospital, GI tract) –>strep
proteus associations
smells like burnt chocolate
produces urease which turns urea to ammonia - increases urinary pH
struvite stones - STAG HORN
