Q

Permanent vs induced magnets

A
  • Permanent magnet: produce their own magnetic field all of the time
  • Induced magnet: only produce their own magnetic field temporarily, when in the field of a permanent magnet

Q

Characteristics of induced magnets

A
  • ALWAYS experience an attractive force with the permanent magnet
  • The pole in contact to the permanent magnet will be opposite to that of the permanent magnet
