Point lies tucked in to the proximal, ulnar corner of the scaphoid bone, most likely to be on distal skin crease. Hand must be fully relaxed to reveal soft hollow

Find middle of distal skin crease at flexure of the wrist.
Raise and lower hand to find two tendons flexor carpi radialis and Palmaris Longus (ulnar side)
** Check if Palmaris Longus is missing, hand against resistance**

Bend the arm slightly and find the hollow that forms just medically to the tendon of the biceps muscle. On the transverse crease of the elbow.

This hollows varies from person to person, from very shallow to quite deep. Raise and lower the forearm to check that you str at the flexure of the elbow.

Point is best located and needles with the arm slightly flexed so that the area is not too stretched
