Cash Flow Metrics
Analysis of money coming in and going out.
ROI
Return on Investment - a ratio or percentage comparing the gains of an investment with its initial investment price.
ROE
Return on Equity - a ratio or percentage found by diving a company’s fiscal year net by the total shareholder equity.
Average Transaction Value
Metric that measures the average amount that one customer spends on one transaction
Progressive Discipline
Increasingly severe disciplinary action with each instance.
Helps set standards for treating all employees the same (reduces discrimination claims)
Can slow down termination process
Cost Per Hire
Calculated by adding the external and internal recruiting costs and diving by the total number of new hires during a specific time period
Turnover Rate
Determined by dividing the number of employees who left the company, by the number of people employed by the company at a given gime
Validity vs. Reliability
As it applies to HR, validity ensures that what is being tested actually measures a standard. Reliability merely confirms that the test consistently produces similar results
PESTLE Chart
Used to analyze Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental effects
SWOT Analysis
Charting of of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Strengths and Weaknesses are internal, whereas Opportunities and Threats are external
Benchmarking
Comparing an organization’s initiatives and outcomes against competitors, industry standards and industry goals
Job Competency
Detailed list of broad skills or traits needed for a position
