A

Career progression and job selection/recruitment. Examine aptitude and mental horsepower.
Types of test incl. conceptual reasoning, mechanical reasoning, “core skills”
Advantages incl, reliability, validity, standardisation and use of norms
Disadvantages narrow focus

What is performance appraisal and how do you give effective feedback?

A

Performance management is a continuous process. Performance appraisals are how organisations communicate expectations and drive behaviour/achievement/goals. Involves agreement, measurement, feedback, pos reinforcement, dialogue.

Effective feedback is aimed at behaviour not persons and how behaviour is effecting others. Be specific.
