What caused the controversy in the Banana Wars?
European countries decided to help Banana plantations in their former colonies by not taxing their Bananas. So most bananas from large companies were still taxed
What were the other companies reaction about the preferred treatment that European governments put in place for Bananas?
They protested and went to the WTO

The WTO said that the European countries are not allowed to give preferred treatment

A protest that happedned in SA where black students demanded better education. Police killed many students

When many began to cast off traditional ways. Such as the french who thought to affirm their culture

The mass kiling of tutsis and Hutus that was sparked by the killing of the president
