- do nothing

- Surgical correction: anterior colporrhaphy
What is it called when everything kind of falls out through the introitus from prolapse?
-Prostadentia
What is Coplocleisis?
- push everything back up and then sew the vagina back up
- don’t do this if they ever want to have a vaginal birth again
If a person is peeing herself while laughing for jumping or doing anything active like that, what is the diagnosis usually?
-stress incontinence
What is the Q tip test?
- put a q tip in their urethra and have them do a valsalva maneuver
- if the urethra changes angles significantly (>30 degress), then it’s stress incontinence
What is a normal amount of post residual fluid in the bladder?
-less than 50 mL
What are some tx options for stress incontinence?
- topical estrogen
- pelvic floor PT (Kegels)
- Pessary
- Surgery: suburethral sling
What do we think of if we have a patient who has to splint to have a bowel movement?
- Rectocele
- splinting is when you have to put your fingers in your vagina to take a poop
What is the best tx option for someone with a rectocele?
- Surgery
- sew the supporting tissues together
What is Urge incontinence?
- when they have detrusor muscle problems (overactive bladder)
- when they have to go, they barely make it or immediately pee themselves
