- Leiomyomas

- no

- COC
- Progesterone only…. depo provera
- GnRH agonist: Depo lupron… usually used to alter route of surgery
How should all babies be delivered after a myomectomy?
-c section
Do endometrial polyps evade in office endometrial sampling?
- yes
- most are benign hyperplastic masses
What is a nabothian cervical cyst?
- when columnar cells continue to secrete mucus and a mucus retention cyst is formed
- pretty normal variant
What are the most common benign growths on the cervix?
-endocervical and ectocervical polyps
What is that really important thing we are supposed to know about endometrial hyperplasia?
-in U/S the endometrial lining > 4 cm in a postmenopausal female
How do we treat simple and complex hyperplasia without atypia?
-with progestin and resample in 3 months
tx of simple and complex hyperplasia WITH atypia?
-hysterectomy
which ovarian cyst is the one that is reddish brown nodules and SURGICAL RESECTION IS NOT INDICATED?
- Luteoma of pregnancy
- they usually spontaneously regress postpartum
What is the single most common benign ovarian neoplasm in a premenopausal female?
-Benign cystic teratoma
What is the most common GROUP of epithelial tumors of the ovary?
-epithelial
What do the cells of the mucinous ovarian tumors resemble?
-endocervical epithelium
