What is Peace?
A period of time in which there is no war
What is Peacemaking?
The process of trying to bring about peace
What is Conflict?
The opposition of individuals or groups that may result in aggression or fighting
What is Pacifism?
The idea that war and violence are unacceptable and never justified
What is Passive Resistance?
Opposition demonstrated by a lack of cooperation or in a non-violent way
What is Just War Theory?
The idea that for a war to be morally justifiable (just) it must meet a number of criteria
What does Skilfulness refer to?
Good and ethical actions
What are Weapons of Mass Destruction?
A weapon (device) that can kill or harm on a large scale
What is Acquisition?
The act of acquiring, buying or gaining something
What is Violence?
Behaviour that aims to injure, abuse, damage or destroy
What is Terrorism?
The use of violence or threat of violence in the pursuit of political aims, religious or ideological change
