PB’s Flashcards
CABIN PRESS
MODE SEL pb
AUTO-normal lights out mode. Allows automatic cabin pressurization and landing elevation
MAN-flight crew can manually adjust cabin altitude with the MAN V/S CTL
FAULT-comes on only when both automatic systems have failed.
Pushing this pb to MAN for at least 10secs then back to AUTO will select the other system
AC ESS FEED pb
Normal-Lights out AC BUS 1 is powering the AC ESS BUS
ALTN- when pushed manually selects AC BUS 2 to power the AC ESS BUS
FAULT-AC ESS BUS is unpowered
BAT 1 and 2
ON- lights out
OFF-in white and battery line contact is open. Hot bus remains powered
FAULT-amber when charging current is outside limits
IDG 1 or 2 pb
Normally lights out
FAULT-amber if IDG oil overheat or IDG oil pressure low
GEN 1 or 2
APU GEN
ON lights out
OFF - generator field is de-energized and fault circuit resets
FAULT- associated generator trips
BUS TIE pb
Normal lights out
OFF- both tie contractors open
GALLEY pb
Auto lights out. Main galley and ife are automatically shed inflight and on the ground with only one generator. Anytime APU or EXT power are hooked up they’re not shed. Secondary galley remains on in all these senerio’s
OFF-Both galleys and ife shed
FAULT-when load on any generator is more than 100% output
COMMERCIAL pb
On lights out (all powered)
OFF- commercial loads are off
EMER ELEC PWR
MAN ON pb
Auto lights out allows automatic deployment of RAT when both ac buses are not powered and above 100kts
Pressed manually extends RAT
EMER GEN TEST pb
GEN 1 LINE pb
Normal lights out
OFF- opens contactor
SMOKE- illuminated when smoke is detected in avionics ventilation duct
EMER ELEC PWR
RAT & EMER GEN LIGHT
FAULT in red if emergency generator is not supplying power whe AC BUSS 1&2 are not powered
APU panel
MASTER SW
START
MASTER SW pb- When pressed blue ON light, power-up test, intake flap opens, APU fuel pump operates if no tank pump is operating, APU page.
Pressed while ON lights on both APU switches go out and starts shutdown sequence
FAULT-amber comes on when an automatic shutdown occurs
START pb-pressed a blue ON light and start sequence initiated and green AVAIL light when on speed
ENG 1&2 BLEED pbs
On is lights out
FAULT-amber comes on overheat over press or bleed valve not closed during engine start or APU bleed on
OFF-bleed valve and HP valve close
APU BLEED pb
ON illuminates when pushed and valve opens when on speed and no leak
Off- the APU valve closes (no OFF light)
FAULT-amber when detects APU bleed leak
PACK pb
On is lights out
OFF- lights and control valve closed
FAULT- control valve disagrees with selected position
ADIRS lights and pb’s
IR light
FAULT-steady IR is lost
-flashing attitude and heading mode may be recovered in ATT mode
ADR pb
OFF light- air data disconnected
FAULT light-fault detected in air data reference
HOT AIR pb
On lights out (regulates hot air pressure)
OFF light valve closes and trim air valves closes AND resets the fault circuit
FAULT- light duct overheat
HYD panel pbs
On lights out for all except yellow ELEC PUMP where an ON light illuminates
FAULT-all pb except PTU
Low level
Overheat
Air press low
Pump press low
FUEL pb’s
On lights out except X FEED
TK PUMPS pb’s
FAULT- when pressure drops
CTR TK L(R) XFR pb’s
ON - light and turn on if in MAN MODE
FAULT- amber if associated wing tank overflows
MODE SEL pb
Auto lights out
MAN if pushed and must manually manage center tank fuel
FAULT- amber comes on when center tank has more than 550lbs and left or right wing tank has less than 11,000lbs
ENG 1 (2) Master Switch
Panel lights
FIRE Fire is detected in the associated engine
FAULT The position of the HP fuel shutoff valve is abnormal, or
The automatic start sequence aborts, or
A malfunction of the thrust control
ENG 1 (2) FIRE pb
Silences aural warning
Arms the extinguisher
Closes low-pressure fuel valve
Closes hydraulic fire valve
Closes engine bleed valve
Closes the pack flow valve
Cuts FADEC power supply
Deactivates the IDG
