What are the cornerstones of patient evaluation and risk assessment?
- Med history
- physical examination
- lab tests as needed
- Med consultation as needed.
What is Infective Endocarditis? What are the recommendations to prevent this from dental procedures? (meds and dose?)
- Microbial infection of endo surface of heart valves.
- Keep optimal oral health/hygiene, and pre-medicate at risk individuals with Amoxicillin 2g 30min-1hr before procedure. If allergic to this, Cephalexin 2 g.

normal= 200 mcg Hyper= 40mcg
What is the ACTH stimulation test?
Measures how well the adrenal glands respond to ACTH.
