Features of ARPKD
A
presents in infants as worsening renal failure, maybe potter sequence. cysts in kidney, cysts in liver (portal HTN, fibrosis).

Features of ADPKD
A
Associated with berry aneurysims, hepatic cysts, and mitral valve prolapse

Causes of ATN
A
aminoglycosides (most common), heavy metals (lead), myoglobinuria (crush injury to muscle), ehtylene glycol, contrast dye, urate (tumor lysis syndrome)

Features of AIN
A
Inflammatory infiltrate in interstitium. See eosinophils in urine.

Causes of AIN
A
NSAIDs, penicillin, and diuretics

Renal papillary necrosis
A
Presents with gross hematuria and flank pain.
Causes: chronic analgesic abuse, DM, SS trait or disease, Severe acute pyelonephritis.
