Invasiveness - necrotising fasciitis, cellulitis, connective tissue breakdown, fibrinolysis
toxins - exotoxins are released extracellularly by the micro-organism, enterotoxins are exotoxins which act on the GI tract, endotoxins are structural parts of the Gram negative cell wall
