THREE-POINT FOUL

24-Second Shot Clock Violation
A team shall not be in continuous possession of a ball which is in its backcourt for more than 8 consecutive seconds.
8-SECOND VIOLATION
is a rule that says that a player cannot stay inside the paint for more than 3 consecutive seconds.
3-SECONDS VIOLATION
When a team is inbounding the basketball, if they are unable to pass the ball into play within five seconds, they are charged with a violation, and it results in a loss of possession.
5-SECOND VIOLATION
is a violation in basketball that occurs when a player takes too many steps without dribbling
TRAVELLING
is a violation in basketball in which the ball handler allows their hand to scoop underneath the ball or places it on the lower half of the ball while dribbling, allowing the ball to come to a momentary rest
CARRYING/PALMING
a personal violation given to a player that either uses two hands to dribble or stops with the ball and starts dribbling again.
DOUBLE DRIBBLE
Occurs when a defensive player prevents an offensive player from moving or taking a shot by not establishing a legal position or moving into their path.
