Bus systems
Buses consists of two parts
- address bus
- data bus
It transfers actual data

transfers information about where the data should go

On an aircraft bus, the address bus & data bus are incorporated within a
single data word
A bus can be either
- serial
- parallel
This type of bus requires less wiring but is slower
Serial bus
Requires one wire for each bit within the data word but is much faster
