5.1.2.1 Pilot Recency:
At least 3 manual takeoffs and 3 manual landings in the preceeding 3 months.
5.1.2.3 Commanders Recency:
At least 1 takeoff and 1 manual landing in the preceeding 35 days.
5.1.2.3 / 5.1.2.4 Commanders Route / Aerodrome Competency
Route Validity Period 13 Months.
CAT B Aerodrome: 13 Months
CAT C Aerodrome: 12 Months
5.2.3 Qualification Requirements:
- 2.3.1 Captain
- 2.3.2 First Officer
- 2.3.3 Junior First Officer
- 2.3.4 Second Officer
5.2.3.1 Captain:
Total of 5,000 hr, which a minimum of 1,000 hr must have been on large multi-engined aircraft.
May be reduced when individual has considerate previous experience or has shown during his time in the Company that he has above average command potential.
5.2.3.2 First Officer
Total of 1,500 hr.
Satisfactory completion of 2 years in the rank of JFO. An experience level below 1,500 hr may be accepted in the case of sponsored ab-initio students provided an adequate standard of ability has been demonstrated.
5.2.3.3 Junior First Officer
Satisfactory completion of 12 months probation in the rank of Second Officer.
5.2.3.4 Second Officer
Total of 250 hr, may be reduced to 200 hr where the individual has completed an integrated course of flight and ground training approved by HKCAD.
5.2.3.9 Flight Crew Operational Restrictions
FO, JFO and SO’s Takeoff and Landing:
Minimum LDA 2,500 m
Takeoff and Landing: Normal Runway Surface (no slush, snow, ice or standing water), no significant performance or control related failures, no combination of low visibility and crosswind likely to affect directional control.
