14.3.1 Crew Overnight Allowances
Meal Allowance will be paid to crew for off duty periods, according to STA + 30 min and STD - 60 min, and coincident with the meal periods:
Breakfast: 05:00 - 09:00
Lunch: 12:00 - 14:00
Dinner: 18:00 - 00:01
Incidentals: Paid for every local night spent off-duty at an outport, admissible only after 00:01 hours.
If there is more than 45 min delay, the pick up an check in time will be amended by Crew Control based on amended schedule. The new wakeup call will be present to rescheduled pick up time -60 min. Meal allowance will be paid according to the REVISED schedule.
If delay is 45 min OR LESS, pick up and check in time will remain unchanged. Meal allowance will be paid according to ORIGINAL schedule.
For non-scheduled port or non-published roster layover at a scheduled port, a cash allowance advance of CNY300 (China Ports) or USD38 (Non-China Ports) will be distributed for every 24 hours stay by the outport station.
14.8.3 Briefing Sequence (A320/1, A330)
A320/1: STD - 70 min Duty Start STD - 55 min Meet Cabin Crew at Crew Channel STD - 50 min Crew Bus Depart STD - 40 min Arrive Aircraft
A330: STD - 75 min Duty Start STD - 60 min Meet Cabin Crew at Crew Channel STD - 55 min Crew Bus Depart STD - 45 min Arrive Aircraft
*Crew Channel opens from 06:30L - 21:45L
Positioning Flights departing from HKG:
STD - 30 min Duty Start (Report BA)
STD - 25 min Crew Bus Depart
STD - 15 min Arrive Aircraft
Non-KA Positioning Flights:
STD - 90 min Duty Start (Report Check-in Counter)
Outport / Positioning Flights departing from Outport:
STD - 60 min Arrive Airport
Test Flights:
A320/1: STD - 120 min
A330: STD - 150 min
14.8.10 Crew Finishing Duties
Actual finishing time is 30 min after “on chocks” or when Crew Members enter the Terminal, whichever is later.
If ICM Crew Control are not advised otherwise by the Crew Members, the 30 min after “on chocks” is the default.
Any extended actual finishing time will be adviced by Captain to Crew Control on arrival at Hong Kong prior to the dispersal of the crew.
14.11.5/14.12.5/14.12.6 Crew Absence from HKG on O-Days / during Medically Unfit
A Crew Member who wishes to be absent from HK during a period which contains rostered O days is to contact ICM Crew Control Manager prior to departure to confirm that no rostered duties have been or might be assigned.
A medically unfit crew member who wishes to be absent from HK are to consult with Flight Crew Relations Manager (FCRM). If no special arrangement has been agreed, the Officer is to update the FCRM on his/her condition every 3 working days.
14.12.1 Report Unfit for Duty
If the period of sickness is 3 days OR LESS, a doctor’s sick note is PREFERABLE. If it is not possible to provide a sick note, a self-diagnosis of the aliment is to be entered by Officer concerned in the “remarks” column of the Leave Application Form. The company may on specific occasions insist on a doctor’s sick note for a period of 3 days or less.
If the period of sickness EXCEEDS 3 days, then a doctor’s note is MANDATORY with Leave Application Form.
For short PERIODS of sickness, Officers will state the predicted number of days in sickness. If nothing is heard by 16:30 on the day before the original predicted date of return to duty, then it will be assumed that the Officer concerned will be fit for duty the next day as rostered. Under exceptional circumstances officers will be advised of any change to duty after 16:30 on the day before the date of return to duty.
