Define parkinsons
A
Chronic degenerative disorder of the CNS, which affects the motor and non-motor systems. Predominantly affects the dopamine producing neurones in a specific area of the brain called substantia nigra.

What is the pathophysiology of PD ?
A
Rapid acceleration of degeneration of dopamine neurones in the substantia nigra and basal ganglia which causes tremors, rigidity, bradykinesia.
