What is a pure substance
A
A single element or compound not mixed with any substance

How can we test if a substance is pure
A
A pure substance has a fixed melting and boiling point if we test a substance and the boiling point is less than or more than ( or changes ) then it is impure

A
mixture that has been designed as a useful product.

How are formulations made
A
made by mixing the components in carefully measured quantities to ensure that the product has the required properties.

A
fuels, cleaning agents, paints, medicines, alloys, fertilisers and foods.
