- DDH - developmental dysplasia of the hip ~ o -2 years
- perthes - idiopathic avascular necrosis of the femoral capital epi-physis ~ 4-9 years
-SUFE - slipped upper femoral epiphysis ~ over 9 years - hip dysplasia due to cp
- bone tumours

Remember:
ALARP
2 views
Localise the region to be x-rayed
Torus (buckle) fractures
~ most common wrist # in young children
- usually from aFOOSH
~ subtle # will be missed unless a good lateral
- scaphoid # rare in <10 years
What are the 5 common Paediatric fracture types?
Complete, greenstick, torus / buckle, bow
What is the injury If there is an effusion in the elbow?
Possible occult # of the distal humerus
