WHO definition of mental health
A condition subject to fluctuations due to biological and social factors which enable an individual to:
- achieve satisfactory synthesis of their own potentially conflicting, instinctive drives
- form and maintain harmonious relationships with others
- participate in constructive changes in their social and physical environment
Classification of mental disorders
- based upon symptoms or behaviours
~Usually associated with distress and interference with personal functioning - 2 main systems

Common mental disorders
Depression , anxiety, combined anxiety and depression, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders
(Apparently Childhood - ASD and ADHD) - I don’t agree with these

What do people with anxiety disorders experience
- excessive worry about actual potential
- A state of heightened tension
- The nature of the event will depend on the specific condition
- Hyper vigilance
- Conditions may be chronic or remitting
