A

Potential difference is shared between components because each electron in the circuit passes through both bulbs

A

Is equal to the sum of the resistance of each component

Why does adding more resistors in series increase the total resistance?

A

More p.d is shared across the resistors - as a result the p.d across each of them is less then before - the current through the resistors is therefore less than before

As total p.d is unchanged the total resistance is therefore greater
