Describe the lymphatic drainage of the lower limb

A

Superificially it follows the saphenous veins:

For small saphenous it goes to the politeal lymph nodes first but they both go to the superificial inguinal lymph nodes ===> then to the external iliac lymph nodes

Deep:

  • (popliteal lymph nodes)
  • deep inguinal lymph nodes
  • external iliac lymph nodes
