evaluates 5 domains: cognitive, language, and motor
scoring: composite scores yield qualitative descriptions and performance levels for each domain

ID preschool students at risk and in need of a more comprehensive eval
5 domains: cognition, communication, physical, social and emotional, and adaptive functioning
scoring: total domain scores converted to composite scores to determine whether the child’s performance is within an acceptable level or if the child is at risk
population: 2 years 9 months through 6 years 2 months
Hawaii Early Learning Profile, Revised (HELP)
6 areas: cognitive, language, gross motor, fine motor, social-emotional, and self-help
child’s natural environment
warm-up, structured play, snack time recommended
scoring: dev age range levels of skills, specification of skills, description of behavior, dev structuring of skills is provided in sequence
population: birth through 3 years with dev delay, disabilities, or at risk. HELP for Preschoolers is available for children ages 3-6, with and without delays
Miller Assessment for Preschoolers (MAP
assess sensory and motor abilities consisting of foundation and coordination indexes, cognitive abilities: verbal and nonverbal indexes, combined abilities include a complex tasks index
scoring: compared with norms, % equivalents
populations: 2 years 9 months to 5 years 8 months
Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI)
determine dev. level, monitor the child’s progress and/or complete a program eval
observation, interview, and social skills and functional sub-units assessed
scoring: functional skills, caregiver assistance, and modifications (scored separately)
