Checks and balances
Power distributed throught the 3 branches. People in the branches can override peoples decisions. Check means stop

Was explaining why the constitution was a better government and only could be one sentence.
Emulated Powers
Emulated powers was a list of what the US could do. Remember these 5:
-To punish piraites and fight pirates
-To keep a Navy
To make post offices and post office roads
-You can declare war
-Make money and have your own currency
Elastic Clause
The Elastic Clause also called the Necessary and Proper Clause is something that the people writing the constitution for federal goverments to have the power to make rights relevant to fit modern day and but of the federal goverment goes to far, the states can snap them back.
Popular Sovereignty
John Locke said the people have the power to vote
Limited Government
How the government is limited bill of rights. Bill of rights is designed to “push back the government” making sure the government isn’t abusing it’s power
Separation of Powers
Has to have separate powers distributed throught the 3 branches so there is more people in charge.
