Iago sneaks off to act like a loyal ensign to Othello for when they find him

Iago warns Othello of Brabantio hunting him down
Cassio and other soldiers ask Othello to go to the Senate about a problem with a Turkish threat to Cyprus
Brabantio orders his men to seize Othello
Othello maintains control
Everyone leaves for the Senate

The Duke and senators receive news of a serious threat against Cyprus

Cassio flirts with ladies and Iago plots to use this against him
Othello arrives and announces that the Turks got stuck in storm
Iago tells Roderigo that Desdemona is in love with Cassio and that Cassio should lose his job

A herald announces to the people of Cyprus that the Turks won’t be attacking
Act Two, Scene Three summary
Iago persuades Cassio into getting drunk and has Roderigo provoke him
Montano tries to intervene and Cassio wounds him
Othello comes in and stops the fight, then fires Cassio
Iago tells Cassio that he can get Desdemona to talk Othello into giving him his job back

Othello sends Iago to deliver letters and then meet him later to look at some fortifications
Act Three, Scene Three summary
Desdemona carries in trying to get Cassio his job back
Othello and Iago appear and see Cassio speaking with Desdemona
Iago tries to make Othello suspicious of their relationship but Desdemona comes and argues for Cassio to get his job
When alone with Othello, Iago makes him believe in the affair between Cassio and his wife
Desdemona comes to call Othello to dinner
Othello says he has a headache, and Desdemona offers to bind his head with her handkerchief
Othello drops it to the floor
Emilia picks up the handkerchief and gives it to Iago
Iago tells Othello that he has seen Cassio with Desdemona’s handkerchief
Othello decides that both Cassio and Desdemona must die
