What does a t score of -1 to 2.5 indicate?
Osteopenia
What does a t score of -2.5 or less indicate?
Osteoporosis
What are the common characteristics of those with osteoporosis?
Presence of kyphosis
Hip, vertebral, or wrist fracture
What is a low challenge position for osteoporosis?
Hook lying and hold abdominal hollow
What is a high challenge position for osteoporosis?
Neutral lordosis, abdominal hollow, and controlled heel slides
What is a low challenge position for spinal stenosis?
Patient facing wall with arms overhead and hands on wall (palpate extensors as patient lifts hands away from wall)
