CI’s for osteoporosis

A
  • avoid overpressure testing w patients who are at risk or have osteoporosis
  • any mobilization technique that creates stress on bones ex) rib springing, joint play
  • w severe osteoporosis - avoid joint play techniques
  • avoid flexion exercises like a forward fold when hx of compression fractures
  • high impact exercises are done w extreme caution
  • avoid immobilization is possible
