signs:
pain
eryethma
warmth
bone biopsy is the definitive diagnostic tool
MRI is the most sensitive
Treatment:
prolonged period
4 weeks IV for adults
six weeks total therapy
Long bone:
flucloxacillin
vertebral:
ceftriaxone
vancomycin
