Differentiating scoliosis from a shortened leg
A shorter leg will cause the pelvis to tilt down to its side -> spine will compensate by adopting a scoliotic position A true scoliosis of spine will also cause a compensatory pelvic tilt -> however as the legs are of equal length the hips and knees will be slightly flexed on the side the pelvis is lowest.
